Moto2: Win leaves Luthi title contender as front-runners falter

Tom Luthi has established himself as a 2016 Moto2 title contender after taking a back-to-back victory at the Australian Grand Prix while many of his title rivals faltered and fell.

Pole man Luthi was an early leader, making the break at the front with fellow front row qualifiers Franco Morbidelli and Mattia Pasini, scrapping with the trio until it became a duo as Pasini fell from contention.

The Swiss rider also launched himself right back into title contention, after a disastrous race for Alex Rins, Johann Zarco and Sam Lowes that saw only Zarco finish in a distant 14th place.
