BSB: Bradley Ray gets Buildbase Suzuki call-up
One of Britain’s most talented young racers, Bradley Ray, will get his chance to shine in the MCE British Superbike Championship next year after signing a deal to join the new Buildbase Suzuki squad.
Run by Hawk Racing, Buildbase Suzuki will run as a sister outfit to the Bennetts Suzuki team which is running Sylvain Guintoli and Taylor Mackenzie.
Ray impressed on the BSB scene in 2016 as he won more races than any other rider, including eventual champion Tarran Mackenzie, in the 600 Supersport class.

“It’s a massive opportunity for me,” he told MCN. “My plan was to stay in Supersport but when I got this offer I couldn’t turn it down. I’m not expecting it to be easy, I need to learn how to ride the Superbike properly and then we’ll see where we are towards the end of the year.
“To get the chance to ride alongside the level of riders in BSB is massive for any young rider, so I’m not planning on wasting the opportunity! The new GSX-R looks like an awesome bike so we’ll take it round by round and hopefully we can start looking to get into the top ten and then see where we go after that.”
