MZ’s new 250cc race bike revealed
Updated: 19 November 2014
MZ has revealed its new 250cc prototype race bike as a work-in-progress at the Zschopau factory in Germany.
The new machine uses a steel tubular frame based on 125 two-stroke GP bike dimensions, and will eventually house MZ’s own 250cc four-stroke, four-valve single.
MZ will also sell the engine to other manufacturers as a means of extra income.
The bike shown houses a KTM four-stroke engine for the purposes of developing the
chassis. See more on the bike in MCN August 12 2009.
