A star-studded line-up, including Michael Dunlop and Freddie Spencer, joined MCN Senior Road Tester Adam Child at Goodwood Revival 2017 on the weekend.

Despite the rain, everyone was in good spirits enjoying the historic race meeting.

MCN Senior Road Tester Adam ‘Chad’ Child took on the stars at the prestigious Goodwood event. After qualifying 17th with riding partner Stuart Tonge, they crawled up the ranks to finish 11th on day one onboard Stuart’s Manx Norton, but this was followed by a DNF in the second race as Stuart crashed out on lap two after making a blistering start.

Chad said: “Qualifying was hard work, the conditions were horrendous, which meant I had a lot to do in race one. I managed a good start and quickly made my way through the field passing Steve Parrish and Bruce Anstey along the way. I crawled up to seventh position and had a titanic four-way battle for fourth with Bill Swallow, Troy Corser, and Freddie Spencer – those laps were so much fun.

“At half race distance I then handed over to owner Stuart who brought her home in 11th position. On Sunday Stuart made an excellent start from 17th place and was in the top eight by the end of the first lap, but he pushed a little too hard and slid off in the tricky damp conditions. But that’s racing – we will be back next year for another go.”
