Brad Pitt's Bonneville going up for auction

1 of 3

Machines owned by Hollywood A-listers aren’t usually seen for sale this side of the pond and this sweetly customised Bonnie has some top pedigree too.

Based on a 2009 865cc Triumph Bonneville and commissioned by Johnson Motors (the once legendary Pasadena Triumph importer, but alas now just a clothing brand) the Bonnie was originally one of three machines modified by Brandon Holstein of Brawny Customs, and styled to look like the bike that took desert racer and Great Escape stuntman Bud Ekins to victory in the 1955 Catalina Grand Prix.

Featuring Desert Fox bars, finned covers, high level exhaust pipes, and alloy mudguards plus an Ekins-inspired paintjob, the Trophy 55 was used just a handful of times in publicity shots for Johnson Motors before being sold and then presented to Brad Pitt as a birthday present. The engraved petrol cap bears Pitt’s birth date and the log book shows the Pitt/Jolie company name as previous owners.

Along with the Brad Pitt Bonnie, Coys of Kensington will be bringing over 150 other stunning machines for auction at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show with bikes to suit every budget.

Due to the phenomenal success of the 2017 event, entries for 2018 will be strictly limited but there is still time to submit a machine for sale in the auction, which will be held in the main hall at Excel on Saturday, February 17. Send entries to Dan Godin at Coys UK motorcycle department on +44 2086147888, motorcycle@coys.co.uk or Giuliano Fazi +39 335 1488303, giuliano.fazi@coys.co.uk at Coys European office.
