The thieves broke into his workshop taking the CR700P rotary rolling chassis, which was fitted with Brembo brakes, Bitubo ECH forks, Bitubo NT011 shock and various electronics. Also taken was Crighton’s laptop, containing research on the bike, as well as engine end cases and various tools.

MCN has previously visited Crighton Racing to see the CR700P in April, when he had received funding to produce 100 of the bikes for public sale. The second prototype was the next step towards the production bike. Crighton told MCN that while the theft has caused considerable personal loss, the intention is still to carry on with the project albeit with a delay. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Dorset Police.
