Ewan McGregor's custom Panhead sells for a pretty penny

Ewan McGregor’s custom-built Indian Larry Motorcycles Panhead has sold at a Bonham’s auction in Las Vegas for $25,300 (£20,260).

The bike, simply named ‘The Machine’ was built in 2010 and features a Harley-Davidson Panhead-style Pandemonium engine, ape hanger bars and lots of chrome.

Other stand out bikes from the auction included a Ducati MH900E, which sold for $18,400 (£14,734), a Confederate Wraith which went for $48,300 (£38678), a Confederate P120 Fighter at $56,350 (£45,124) and a rather distinctive 2008 KTM Super Duke R Superspinne special, which sold for just $3,450 (£2,762).

The Widowmaker V8 dragbike, which was estimated to fetch between $65,000 – 85,000 (£52,000 – 68,000) failed to sell.

A 1912 Harley-Davidson X8E Big Twin that was once owned by Steve McQueen sold for $82,800 (£66,305).
