Video: A glass cylinder head is about as strong as you'd expect

Glass isn’t a common material when it comes to constructing engines, but that didn’t stop one motorcyclist from removing the standard cylinder head from his bike and replacing it with a thick piece of glass, just for the hell of it.

The results certainly look amazing as the revs rise and the spark in the combustion chamber intensifies. Predictably, it doesn’t last very long – the spark plug soon pops off and the engine dies.
