Isle of Man TT blockbuster to begin production next year

Bold Films, producers of hits such as Drive and Whiplash, have confirmed their commitment to producing a film about the Isle of Man TT.

Written and directed by Ben Younger, a former professional rider himself, ‘Isle of Man’ will tell the story of an American motorcycle racer who comes out of retirement to take on the TT one last time.

The basic plot theme maybe as old as the hills themselves, but the history of Bold Productions should ensure a brash, dash around the Manx circuit.

Currently little else is known about the film but a few rumours, alleged to have come from an anonymous member of the top brass at Honda, have claimed that it will star Matt Damon as the racer, TT-racer Cameron Donald as the body double and a CBR1000RR as itself.

MCN spoke to Bold Productions and they denied any involvement with either person at this stage. The Fireblade was unavailable for comment.

Whatever the actors or bikes involved, we can’t wait.
