Video: How to ride a Harley-Davidson

The general consensus among motorcyclists is that Harley-Davidsons don’t handle. A severe lack of ground clearance on most models and a long wheelbase aren’t the best ingredients for creating a sweet-handling motorcycle.
Apparently nobody told this Harley rider, filmed on the Mulholland Highway, who has come to the conclusion the best way to ride a Harley is exactly like a sportsbike; hang off, stick your knee out and lean until something scrapes.

The speed at which he descends the famous road would be impressive on any bike, but it’s even more impressive on a Harley. He’s clearly pushing the tyres to the limit, almost highsiding at one point. What’s slightly less impressive however is his choice of riding gear; helmet, jeans, gloves and t-shirt. But race leathers would look a bit daft, and Harleys are all about the image.
What better way to celebrate July 4, America’s Independence Day, than with some peg-scraping, powersliding antics onboard an iconic American machine.
