ABS Pro and dynamic brake light on select BMW models for 2016

ABS Pro, which allows ABS-assisted braking during cornering and when the bike is leant over, will be available on select BMW models from 2016 alongside their dynamic brake light system.

The ABS Pro system will be available as part of the ‘Ride Modes Pro’ option on the R1200GS, R1200GS Adventure and S1000 XR, while it will come as standard on the BMW K1600GT, K1600GTL and K1600GTL Exclusive.

Also included with ABS Pro will be BMW’s dynamic brake light system. With the dynamic brake light system the brake light will flash under heavy braking and engage the hazard warning lights once the bike comes to a complete stop.

Stage one will be engaged under heavy braking above 50kmh, while stage two, which includes the hazard warning lights, will engage at speeds under 14kmh. The hazard warning lights will remain on until the bike reaches 20kmh.
