Pics: James Toseland’s Sepang crash helmet

These exclusive pictures of James Toseland’s Airoh helmet shows why the British rider was lucky to escape with only minor injuries after his 125mph testing high-side in Sepang.

Toseland destroyed his Tech 3 Yamaha YZR-M1 when he crashed on the opening day of 2009 MotoGP testing in Malaysia last week.

He flew at over 15ft in the air and suffered mild concussion, a tricep injury just above his left elbow and severe bruising on the inside of his left leg.

Toseland told MCN: “It was the biggest crash of my career and there is hardly a mark on me.

“So I’ve got to say a big thanks to Airoh and BKS. My helmet and leathers provided unbelievable protection and I’m really thankful to both of them for that.”
