Ben Wilson signs for Gearlink Kawasaki

Superstock 1000 and R1 Cup 2008 ace Ben Wilson will ride for the Gearlink Kawasaki British Supersport team in 2009.

Wilson joins the factory Kawasaki team and new team-mate Chris Martin, who last year finished the British Supersport championship in sixth place.

Ben Wilson joins the team with a wealth of experience having previously ridden with the Vivaldi Racing team in British Superbikes.

Ben Wilson told MCN at the NEC today: “I’m dropping down to the supersport class, but I see it as a step forward and I’m looking forward to the challenge.

“I’ve got to up my training regime to lose weight. I’m currently running at superbike weight.”
