  • CF MOTO 450NK (2024-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

Significantly cheaper than its rivals and matching them on performance and tech, the 450NK’s tempting price tag will certainly catch the eye of A2-licence riders.

  • ENFIELD GUERRILLA 450 (2024-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

Impressive spec, handling, and useability for less than £5000 makes the Guerrilla 450 a seriously tempting proposition

  • KOVE 800X PRO (2024-on)

Brand new offering from Kove has all the ingredients to be a genuine contender in the middleweight adventure bike class

  • CF MOTO 800NK ADVANCED (2024-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

If you are comparing like-for-like, and ignoring the name on the tank, it’s a very tempting sporty middleweight and incredible value for money

  • YAMAHA MT-09 SP (2024-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

More composed and capable than the regular MT-09, as well as feeling more of a true sports edition, justifying the SP tag better

  • YAMAHA WR450F (2024-on)

    MCN rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

This is a 450 that thinks it’s a 250, it loves to dive into the tight stuff; hopping and bopping through the Welsh woods felt almost effortless

  • BMW S1000XR (2020-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

As before the XR is still a classy all-rounder that can dish out savage performance one minute and be happy at cruising in comfort the next

  • YAMAHA XT1200Z SUPER TENERE (2010-2021)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

A vastly underrated motorcycle, the MCN review is of the 1st generation version from 2010 to 2014 so is somewhat misleading. I’m 6’4” /85kg and it’s probably the best fitting bike, from an ergonomic perspective for my size, that I’ve ever owned. Super comfortable.Best features;...

  • YAMAHA MT-10 (2022-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

The mt10 is the ultimate road warrior. What I love most is the grunting midrange torque, confidence inspiring passing ability and a short wheel base for twisties. It is by far the closest all-rounder I can think of. I bow in respect of it after my ride.

  • YAMAHA MT-10 (2022-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    3 out of 5 (3/5)

Exciting engine hampered by suspension that soon finds its limits, excessive engine rattles and average build quality

  • KAWASAKI KE100 (1974-1998)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

My first bike and I loved it, apart from the plug fouling constantly!Rode it once for nearly 200miles straight apart from fuel stops and it didn’t miss a beat. Stuck to 50mph all the way as people said it would blow up at that distance! Caned it on the way home though. Not enough...

  • ENFIELD HUNTER 350 (2022-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

A great little all rounder. Bought as a compromise, but it has impressed me hugely. Comfort, value for money, build quality all excellent. You couldn’t ask for more from a new bike at this price.

  • BMW R1300GS (2023-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

Awesome bike that really delivers in every respect. Really commands attention too. Very admired by everyone who sees her

  • APRILIA RSV4 FACTORY (2021-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    3 out of 5 (3/5)

Good points. Its one of the best riding experiences you can buy once set up correctly. Great looking and sounding bike. Alot better electronics than the 2020 model. Soooooo much more fun than my 2023 bmw s1000rr on the road due to its mighty torque. Bad points.

  • HONDA CBF250 (2004-2012)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

I've always fancied one of these but they never come up for sale on this side of the bridge (I'm in S Wales) so when I saw one advertised down the road in Cardiff I was onto it in a flash. The guy was chuffed to achieve a sale under an hour of it going on sale. Price, £1200. Bike in really vgc...

  • YAMAHA XSR900 GP (2024-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

Best features? Well, the looks obviously but the big surprise was the handling, super stable and more neutral than a Swiss peace activist on Prozac. It still turns easily and changes line without complaint or very much in the way of effort - truly sublime and utterly confidence inspiring. Then...
