Top bike reviews

  • YAMAHA WR450F (2024-on)

    MCN rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

This is a 450 that thinks it’s a 250, it loves to dive into the tight stuff; hopping and bopping through the Welsh woods felt almost effortless

  • BMW S1000XR (2020-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

As before the XR is still a classy all-rounder that can dish out savage performance one minute and be happy at cruising in comfort the next

  • BMW F800GS (2024-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

A more substantial-feeling middleweight GS model that has a high spec list, low-price tag, and the ability to be made A2-legal if required.

  • ZEEHO AE8S+ (2024-on)

    MCN rating
    3 out of 5 (3/5)

Zeeho may be an unknown name in Europe, but relatively cheap prices, KTM Group backing, and perky performance could make the AE8 S+ a winner

  • MAEVING RM1S (2024-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

A refreshingly different 125-equivalent electric motorcycle for town and city riding

  • KTM 1390 SUPERDUKE R (2024-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

Absolute hooligan. Comfortable. Well mannered. Track fiend. All in one. The Evo steps the game up another notch.I’ve had the Tuono, Speed triple, Ducati V4 and twins and this beats them all on the road and now it’s equally capable on track. I was able to do mid to low 1.40’s round...

  • BMW G310R (2021-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

Update on previous review.I've now done 1800 miles and love the bike. Nimble compared with bigger bikes, but comfortable at 70 with spare power of needed on rare trips on motorway, and brilliant on B-roads.Totally happy with my choice.

  • HONDA XL750 TRANSALP (2023-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

Fantastic bike! Ive been riding motorbikes for 45 years, on and off road. Sportsbikes to customs. This is the best allround bike I've owned for real world riding.

  • HONDA DAX 125 (2023-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

A very cool and charming little motorcycle, plenty of looks from old and young riders around. Beautiful paint work and awesome styling to match, it's perfect for inner city pootling or just chilled country blasts. Few little niggles like paint chipping off the engine casing after 1000 miles and...

  • BMW R18 First Edition (2020-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

Quality highly designed object to appreciate. The Speedo clock has to many MPH values. I want to see 30mph and max 130mph not 200!

  • HONDA NC750X (2021-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

Best parts are ease of riding, good position, nice weight and balance with an eager engine. Plenty of power for most riding, but overtakes need planning carefully! DCT is instantly usable and flexible enough in various modes to cope with relaxed or progressive riding.

  • SUZUKI V-STROM 800DE (2023-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

Just feels "right" everywhere. Not the best dirt bike, not the best street bike. For me, It does both fairly well.

  • HONDA CBR1000RR FIREBLADE (2004-2005)

    Overall owners' rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

A beautifully styled, reliable, easy to ride, 100% analog superbike which can be bought at bargain prices and still hold its own today. Superior in many ways to its 2008 successor.

  • APRILIA SX125 (2018-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

Never had issues, standard 125. Can get 75-80 85mph at a push. everything is stock except the spocks hence why i get 80mph. Pull off is good. faster acceleration than a Honda Grom. Keeps up very well with the bigger bikes if you keep them revs high, seem to have more power in the higher revs.
