Top bike reviews

  • HONDA NC750X (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

It’s smoother and more practical than ever, but its performance still punches well above its weight

  • KOVE 125R (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

Kove’s new 125R costs just £3499 and for that you get the kind of goodies you’d be happy to see on a mega-bucks super naked

  • NAXEON I AM PRO (2024-on)

    MCN rating
    3 out of 5 (3/5)

The IAM Pro’s radical design reflects how proudly and provocatively different it is, unhindered by the inertia of convention

  • HONDA CB1000 HORNET SP (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

The new Honda CB1000 Hornet SP is a breath of fresh air for motorcycling, in a world where performance bikes have become ever more expensive and out of reach

  • TRIUMPH SPEED TWIN 1200 (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

As before Triumph’s Speed Twin 1200 mixes retro style, with flawless build quality, thoughtful detailing, high performance and comfort.

  • TRIUMPH SPEED TWIN 1200 RS (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

It might wear retro threads and has a name inspired by the 1937 original but show it a funky piece of road and the RS is every inch the modern performance bike.

  • KAWASAKI Z650RS (2022-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

Is it time for a new bike? Maybe. But will this one keep going for me as long as I want it to? Definitely! This is an update to my review in August 2022 (which I also gave an update on in April 2023) after nearly 2.5 years of ownership and 12,000 miles in all weathers.

  • HONDA CB500 (1994-2003)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

Lightweight, very nimble and punchy litte city bike, with 58 horses for Sunday runs

  • VOGE 300 RALLY (2023-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

Awesome value for money, I can't believe I'm riding the same bike as the tester, suspension is spot on far better than the crf. Rear brake is really strong, front much less so but for offroad that's what I'd want.

  • KAWASAKI ZZR600 (1990-2007)

    Overall owners' rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

Reliable old horse that'll pull hard but doesn't like to carry too much on suspension.

  • TRIUMPH SPEED 400 (2024-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

Build quality second to none. Front fender too short so radiator gets covered in road dirt and risks damage from stones. Buying an aftermarket extender!

  • TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE 765 RS (2020-2022)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

love this bike, bought used low miles from a triumph dealer . Does almost everything at any speed.. (except off-roading ). arguably the best bike I've owned in over 30 years of riding (KTM 950 Adv. close). A keeper... so far

  • TRIUMPH SPEED 400 (2024-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

ease of use, fun , great for B & C road pootling or press on a bit and ride it like a Supermoto... suspension allowing. Recommended

  • BMW R1200GS (2013-2016)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

Excellent bike. One item is front axel & seals. Axel wears where seals run on the surface permitting water to enter and negatively affect the wheel bearings. No sleeve to renew on the axel which is a nuisance.
