  • HONDA CB1000 HORNET SP (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

The new Honda CB1000 Hornet SP is a breath of fresh air for motorcycling, in a world where performance bikes have become ever more expensive and out of reach

  • TRIUMPH SPEED TWIN 1200 (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

As before Triumph’s Speed Twin 1200 mixes retro style, with flawless build quality, thoughtful detailing, high performance and comfort.

  • TRIUMPH SPEED TWIN 1200 RS (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

It might wear retro threads and has a name inspired by the 1937 original but show it a funky piece of road and the RS is every inch the modern performance bike.

  • ENFIELD BEAR 650 (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

With scrambler-lite prowess and a dash more low-mid range grunt, Royal Enfield's Bear 650 is the dark horse Intercepter variant we've been longing for

  • SUZUKI DR800 S BIG (1991-1997)

    Overall owners' rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

The bikes worst features are the brakes compared to a moden bike. It's also top heavy but you just get used to dropping it (Buy some engine guards). The best is the grin you'll get riding it. You have to get most of the plastics off to do any valve, carb work, but you get used to it.

  • HONDA VTR1000 FIRESTORM (1997-2005)

    Overall owners' rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

Mine has been totally reliable, and build quality is excellent. Even after nearly 25 years, the various rubber components, paintwork etc are excellent and no rattles from anywhere.

  • HONDA CBR1000RR-R FIREBLADE SP (2020-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    1 out of 5 (1/5)

This bike is for old men who rarely ride them. They are not fit for the track and there are a few manufacturing flaws that destroy the engine. Parts corrode easily. Buy a Yamaha instead.

  • TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE T120 (2016-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

Everything about the Bonneville T120 is quality; engine performance and stopping. The Peashooter pipes are not for everyone, but it is a bike that is really easy to personalise. Would be 5 out of 5 if the shocks & forks were higher quality.

  • MOTO-GUZZI V85 TT (2019-2023)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

I had a DL650 and wanted something with more character and a littIe more go. If I had to criticise something the standard seat could be more comfortable, but its still good for over 200 miles.

  • HONDA CBF600 (2008-2013)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

I've had this bike now for 3 years, and ride all year round. Bomb proof

  • HONDA CBF250 (2004-2012)

    Overall owners' rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

Tom Biker’s detailed review September 2024 of this little bike is spot on. It is light and very easy to ride. It is very different to my Cb250rs single as it needs to be revved through the six gears. Nevertheless it feels bullet proof and rides extremely comfortably at 65mph. It sips fuel. I...

  • CAGIVA RAPTOR 1000 (2000-2005)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

Fun to ride, reliable and plenty of usable power and torque from the suzuki TLS lump.
