Camera van operator “fixed speeds”
Updated: 19 November 2014
A speed camera van operator is being investigated for “fixing” speeds, according to a police insider.
The officer is alleged to have deliberately set speed readings to make it appear motorists were travelling faster than they really were, according to our source.
He said 150 speeding charges had been abandoned by Kent Police in the scandal.
Kent Police spokesman Colin Topley twice put the phone down on MCN when we called to ask about the case.
