Video: First UK Desmosedici arrives

One lucky rider from Glasgow will be the first in the UK to take delivery of Ducati’s Desmosedici RR road bike.

Ducati Glasgow is conducting public viewings of the bike this weekend, before handing it over to the owner next week.

Ducati UK says the owner was the first to place an order for the bike, having contacted Ducati before it had even taken the decision to put the bike into production.

Ducati Glasgow is conducting a private viewing of the bike on Friday night for 30 guests, comprised of the family and friends of the unnamed owner.

“I can’t tell you who’s bought it, but we’ve taken orders for 17 RRs from across Scotland,” said Martin Rees, owner of Ducati Glasgow.

The outlet is putting the final touches to the bike, with the exhaust system alone taking a day to fit (see video).
