Monster 796 colours: did no-one tell the designers the red frame was staying?

Ducati has rightly got highly excited by the near-instant colour-changing capabilities of its new Monsters, and the new 796 heralds the launch of a new set of tasty ‘logomania’ panels.

Except, nobody appears to have told designers to bear in mind the 796 has a red frame. Just a red frame. Only red.

Which has led to some eye-watering children-discover-mummy’s-makeup combinations.

Thankfully, as the promotional video below reveals, the £500-ish panels also fit black-framed Monsters of other capacities. (Below that, a video of our own John Westlake demonstrating how the panels are installed.)
