New Ducati Monster 796 launch this Wednesday

MCN will be first to ride Ducati’s new middleweight Monster 796 this Wednesday on the roads surrounding Ducati’s Bologna HQ in Italy.

The V-twin sits between the beginner-friendly Monster 696 and the beefier Monster 1100, and will rival bikes such as the new Yamaha FZ8, BMW F800R and Triumph Street Triple R.

First official pictures and details of the bike will be revealed on motorcyclenews.com tonight at 6pm GMT. Full spec and photos will be in MCN this Wednesday, April 21.

MCN will also have the first full test of the Yamaha FZ8 and Fazer8, currently being ridden in the South of France by chief road tester Trevor Franklin.
